St Bernard's offers a range of rich learning experiences both on and outside of our school campus. Our classes regularly invite guest speakers, school performance groups and professional organisations to enrich our curriculum. Examples of these include Ngutana-Lui Aboriginal and Islander Cultural Studies Incursion, CSIRO, Candle Making, and Living History. Class excursions have seen our students visit the Science and Cultural Centre, The Abbey, Planetarium, Parliament House and Australia Zoo.
Year 6 Camp
Each Year our Year 6 classes spend 3 days at Camp Maranatha at Yandini on the Sunshine Coast. Here's what some of our student said about the camp:
I thought that the camp was spectacular, we did great activities that required trust in yourself and in others. All the seniors got to know some other people that we didn't know before. We all made friendships and built our trust in each other. I hope that next year the seniors have as much fun as we did. Brianna
I loved camp! The activities were exciting and the food was great! Michaela
I have never been camping before, so it was such a great experience. I participated in all activities and got over my fear of heights Overall, I thought the camp was a blast! Lucy
I think camp was the best thing I have done all year. It was both physically and mentally challenging. But it definitely had made me a better leader in all sorts of ways.
Camp was so much fun. I participated in all the activities even when I was scared and not confident. I think the camp was great. Grace
