Assessment

Assessing children’s learning is an integral part of the classroom.  It improves learning and improves teaching.  In line with the Australian Curriculum, students are given multiple opportunities to demonstrate their understanding and skills.   Australian Curriculum Achievement Standards are used to assess the student’s work.

Reporting

Parents are invited to attend Parent/Teacher Interviews during the year.

Written reports are sent home at the end of each semester.

Parents are also welcomed to make appointments with their child’s teacher at any time during the year.

Comparative Reports.

Parents may request the school to provide them with information that clearly shows  their child’s achievement in the subjects studied in comparison to that of other children in the co hort.  This information will show the number of students in each of the achievement levels.
