Big Voices, Little Debaters: A Triumph of Young Minds
Our Year 5 and 6 students stepped into the spotlight for their very first debating competition—and what a spectacular debut it was! With the theme “Big Voices, Little Debaters,” these young minds brought courage, clarity, and collaboration to the stage, proving that age is no barrier to powerful ideas.
From the opening statements to the final rebuttals, our students showcased not only their growing confidence but also their ability to think critically and speak persuasively. Each team worked together with impressive synergy, crafting compelling arguments and responding to challenges with poise and respect. It was a joy to witness their enthusiasm and determination as they tackled topics with maturity beyond their years.
This event wasn’t just about winning debates; it was about building skills that will serve our students for life. Public speaking, teamwork, active listening, and respectful disagreement are all part of the toolkit they’re developing—and they’re off to a brilliant start.
We are incredibly proud of each participant for their bravery and brilliance. Their voices rang loud and clear, and their ideas made us think, smile, and cheer. Congratulations to our little debaters—you’ve made a big impact!
