Rugby 7s Competition

St Bernard's took two teams out to Sunnybank Rugby Club to participate in the Annual Brisbane Catholic Education South Rugby Sevens Competition. It was a spectacular day of sunshine, and the students were extremely excited to be playing after weeks of hard training with Mr Hodge and Mr Thomas.

Our Under 12 boys team played and won their first two games. The boys demonstrated some determined ball running and side stepping to score many tries. In their third game of the day, they showed resilience and defensive grit to come from behind and draw the match 3 tries each. The opponents took the win because they scored the first try.

The Under 10 girls touch team played four games across the day with enthusiasm and passion. They worked hard to develop their skills and knowledge about the game and came away with only one loss to the eventual winners.

Well done to all participants and a thank you to the parents for your support.
