To enrol your child at our amazing school please follow the enrolment procedure below.​

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child at St Bernard's.  Please use the link below to begin your child's online application for enrolment.

You will need to click on the link​, enter and review the required details, complete and submit the forms with attachments.

If applying for enrolment for more than one student, when the form is complete and option will be available to submit another enrolment for each additional child.

To lodge an application for your child, you must submit:

  •  A completed Application for Enrolment form

  • Birth Certificate​

  • Baptismal Certificate

  • Immunisation Certificate

  • If years 1 to 6 - a copy of their most recent school report

  • International students - an additional $155 on-refundable enrolment application fee.

  • Medical or specialist reports that may assist in understanding the child’s needs or circumstances regarding their development and readiness for school.

  • ​​​Applications cannot proceed to the next step unless all the supporting documentation is received.

After lodging an Application for Enrolment form parents will be invited to attend an enrolment interview.  It is important that your child or children who are enrolling attend this interview.​​

St Bernard's has a minimum enrolment requirement of one semester meaning that students are expected to remain enrolled for at least one semester before any changes or withdrawals are permitted. This policy ensures stability and continuity in the learning environment and allows for proper planning and allocation of resources by the school.

Enrolment Process Details​

Children applying for Prep must be born within the specific dates as set down by the Government (see table below).

Eligible children must turn 5 by 30 June in the year they start Prep.

Interviews for Prep are conducted by Leadership.

An Offer of Enrolment is sent out in Term 2 for those gaining an initial placement at St Bernard's​​.

Once the offer is accepted, a ​Confirmation of Enrolment ​is sent out with a request for payment of $100. This payment is non-refundable but deducted from school fees and can be paid via this link:

Prep Orientation is conducted for the following year Prep pupils during Term 4.

Other year enrolments happen across the year as well as an intake at the beginning of each new school year. These positions are offered if positions become available.

A similar process occurs with interviews and offers of places if available

All accepted enrolments are supplied with booklists and uniform requirements.

The table below is a guide to when children are eligible to enrol in the preparatory year.​

Poli​cies​ and Procedures

Only when necessary to limit the intake of Prep or Year One pupils to St Bernard’s, then preference will be given to:

(a) children who have other family members in the school.

(b) children of the Parish whose parents are practising Catholics and who are Catholic.

(c) children of the Parish who are Catholic.

(d) children of other Parishes who are practising Catholics.

(e) children of other faiths or beliefs.

If an application is accepted it is understood that parents comply with the spirit of the school's Mission Statement and agree to pay such fees and mandatory levies as set by the local authority.

Enrolment Support for Students with a Disability

The Enrolment Application and Support Procedure (EASP) is a process that aims to reveal and clarify the needs of the student and to identify the educational adjustments and transition required for accessing the learning program for the student.
