|
Many people spread clothes in the road, while others put down branches which they had cut from trees. They were all shouting, "Hooray for the Son of David! God bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord. |
To Reflect Jesus went into Jerusalem to tell the news of God. He was following God’s will. |
To Pray Ask God to help you know how to follow God’s will. |
Jesus goes to the temple |
"The Scriptures say, `My house should be called a place of worship.' But you have turned it into a place where robbers hide." |
To Reflect Jesus was upset when he discovered that people were buying and selling in the temple. |
To Pray Speak to God about the times you are upset by the actions of others. |
Jesus is betrayed |
"How much will you give me if I help you arrest Jesus?" They paid Judas thirty silver coins. |
|
To Reflect What was it that made Judas act this way? Money Jealousy |
To Pray Ask God for help to act in the right way, all the time. |
Jesus is condemned to death |
Pilate saw that there was nothing he could do and that the people were starting to riot. So he took some water and washed his hands in front of them and said, “I won’t have anything to do with killing this man. You are the ones doing it!” |
|
To Reflect What does washing your hands of the situation mean?

Jesus meets the women |
A large crowd was following Jesus, and in the crowd a lot of women were crying and weeping for him. |

The soldiers nailed Jesus to a cross. Above his head they put a sign. It read, "This is Jesus, the King of the Jews." | |
